Introduction: Posterior hip dislocation of the hip with acetabular fracture is a challenging problem to treat. Such dislocations are associated with avascular necrosis of the femoral head if neglected. Managing such conditions with total hip replacement (THR) is very difficult because of associated altered anatomy.

Operative Treatment of Isolated Bicondylar Hoffa Fracture With a Modified Swashbuckler Approach.

Introduction: An isolated coronal fracture of either or both femoral condyles is a rare entity and is usually associated with high-energy injury trauma. Such fractures should be meticulously fixed for a good functional outcome as they involve the articular surface of a weight bearing joint. A modified swashbuckler approach provides adequate exposure for appropriate reduction and fixation of such fractures.

Lumbar Apophyseal Ring Fracture- A Case Report.

Posterior apophyseal ring fracture is a rare condition typically seen in adolescent age group because the ring apophysis and the adjacent vertebral body does not fuse completely and may separate at the cephalad or caudal edge. It usually simulates disc herniation in adolescents and children but disc lesion is very commonly associated with PRAF. The condition although is rare but a high index of suspicion should be there during evaluation of any adolescent patient with low back ache as it is often missed on conventional radiography.
