An 80-year-old woman with epigastric pain and weight loss presented to our hospital with cancer of the ascending colon and cholelithiasis. Initially hospitalized for a suspected gallstone attack, she later developed gangrenous cholecystitis. She underwent a laparoscopic cholecystectomy, which revealed abscess formation and necrosis extending into the gallbladder duct.

Objectives: The utility of texture and color enhancement imaging (TXI) in detecting gastric cancer (GC) has been investigated. However, few reports exist on TXI mode2 (TXI2) used for detecting GC; this study investigated the efficacy of TXI2 in GC detection during screening endoscopy.

A 77-year-old female patient was undergoing steroid treatment for cirrhosis with autoimmune hepatitis. Periodic imaging acquisitions revealed both irregular gallbladder wall thickness and an isovascular tumor in segment one of the liver. After cholecystectomy and segmental hepatectomy, the pathological diagnosis was diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in both organs.
