The accurate and sensitive quantification of hydroxyl radical (·OH) and glucose is necessary for disease diagnosis and health guidance, but still challenging owing to the low concentration of ·OH and poor water solubility of fluorescent probes. In addition, fluorescent probes may cause secondary pollution to the environment. Here an organic cage was reported as a sensitive fluorescent probe for ·OH and glucose in aqueous solution without serious secondary pollution.

Cytokine storm is a life-threatening systemic hyper-inflammatory state caused by different etiologies, in which the bulk production of pro-inflammatory cytokines from activated macrophages has a central role. Integrated stress response (ISR) comprises several protective signaling pathways, leading to phosphorylation of eukaryotic initiation factor 2α (eIF2α) and repression of protein translation. Emerging evidence suggests that ISR induction may elicit anti-inflammatory effects.

This study uncovers a gradual transition from free electron to electride behavior in l-Al at high pressure and temperature, forming a type of two-component liquid where atomic and electride states coexist. The proportion of electride increases with pressure and temperature until reaching saturation, leading to notable changes in the pair-correlation function and coordination number of l-Al at saturation pressure.

However, due to the existence of subject-specific components in sEMG signals, subject-specific models may deteriorate when applied to new users. In this study, we hypothesize that in addition to subject-specific components, sEMG signals also contain pattern-specific components, which is independent of individuals and solely related to gesture patterns.

A total of 265 patients admitted for the first session of TACE were included for analysis. CKD was defined as Cockcroft-Gault glomerular filtration rate (CG-GFR) < 60 mL/min/1.

Unlike viral hepatitis-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the role of excessive nutrient supply in steatotic HCC is not well understood, hindering effective prevention and treatment strategies. Therefore, it is crucial to identify key molecules in the pathogenesis of steatotic HCC, investigate changes in metabolic reprogramming due to excessive fatty acid (FA) supply, understand its molecular mechanisms, and find potential therapeutic targets.

Recent researches indicates that immunoproteasome, especially proteasome 20S subunit beta 8 (PSMB8), is highly associated with various kidney diseases. This study aims to investigate the potential involvement of PSMB8 in S-AKI and its impact on apoptosis and inflammation.

Over the past few years, the combination of immune checkpoint inhibitors and anti-angiogenic targeted therapy has proven highly efficacious in treating advanced HCC, significantly extending patients' survival and providing a potential for sequential curative surgery. After sequential curative hepatectomy or liver transplantation following conversion therapy, patients can receive long-term survival benefits.

Here, by genetic and pharmacological disruption of glucagon receptor (GCGR) in mice and zebrafish, we found that the ensuing hyperaminoacidemia promotes pancreatic acinar cell proliferation and cell hypertrophy, which can be mitigated by a low protein diet in mice. In addition to mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1) signaling, acinar cell proliferation required , the most highly expressed amino acid transporter gene in both species.

Experimental Design: Adults with gliomas underwent longitudinal intracranial CSF collection via Ommaya reservoirs or ventriculoperitoneal shunts.
Heading toward the next-generation intelligent optical device, the meta-optics active tunability is one of the most desirable properties to expand its versatility beyond the traditional optical devices. Despite its advances via various tunable approaches, the encoding freedom of tuning capability still critically restricts its widespread engagement and dynamics in real-life applications. Here, we present a gesture-interactive scheme by topography flexible metasurfaces (TFMs) to expand the encoding freedom for the tuning capability.

Recently, several novel grading schemes, including three-tiered, two-tiered, and four-tiered systems, have been proposed, but their prognostic value remains controversial and lacks external validation.
Materials And Methods: We included 528 patients with pathologically proven chRCC (chromophobe renal cell carcinoma) from multiple medical institutions and the Cancer Genome Atlas-Kidney Chromophobe cohort.
To investigate the current situation and demand for specialized development of allergy nursing in 88 hospitals in Guangdong Province, as well as to provide evidence for the management of allergy nursing. From August to December 2023, a cross-sectional study was conducted to analyze the core managers of allergy nursing-related work in eighty-eight hospitals in Guangdong Province supported by the Allergy Nursing Branch of the Guangdong Nurses Association and the Nursing Group of the Allergy Branch of the Guangdong Medical Association. An online survey was conducted using the Delphi method to compile a questionnaire on the current status and demand for specialized development of allergy nursing in Guangdong Province.

The aim of this study is to develop an advanced triage system that combines oral radiomics and biological multi-omics data, which enables accurate departmental referral of patients by automatically interpreting biological information in oral X-ray images.
Methods: Using a multi-label learning algorithm, we analyzed multi-omics data from 3,942 patients with oral diseases from three cohorts between July 1, 2023 and August 18, 2023, and continuously monitored classification accuracy (ACC) metrics.
