Objective: this study sought to test the interexaminer agreement and reliability of 15 indicators of nursing care quality.

Methods: this was a quantitative, methodological, experimental, and applied study conducted at a large, tertiary, public teaching hospital in the state of Paraná. For data analysis, the Kappa (k) statistic was applied to the categorical variables - indicators 1 to 11 and 15 - and the interclass correlation coefficient (ICC) to the continuous variables - indicators 12, 13, and 14, with the corresponding 95% confidence intervals.

Objective: To assess, from the worker's viewpoint, the structure, the process and the results of the Emergency Hospital Services that have taken up the guideline of "Welcoming with Risk Classification" in two teaching hospitals of the state of Paraná.

Method: Quantitative and descriptive research, exploratory and prospective, using random sampling stratified by professional category, comprising a universe of 216 professional people.

Results: They found some points of agreement regarding the promotion of a welcoming and humane environment; privacy and security; welcome and shelter of the companion and also the sheltering and classification of all patients; however, there was disagreement about the comfort of the environment, reference system and counter-reference, prioritisation of seriously ill patients in post-classification service, communication between the members of the multi-professional team and reassessment of the guideline.

A multicenter, cross-sectional study took place from December 2009 to June 2010 and aimed to assess the quality of Nursing Prescription (NP) in two public teaching hospitals. The sample consisted of 1,307 NP and data were processed using the G-test and chi-square. The determination of the quality of NP was based on the classification indices reported in literature.

Responsiveness is a quality indicator presented by the World Health Organization in the field of health evaluation.
