Objective: Examine power and functional connectivity (FC) in children with Self-limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) during resting-state.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 37 children with SeLECTS and 34 matched controls. Fifty seconds of awake resting-state source-reconstructed EEG per subject were selected to compare groups using power and weighted phase lag index (wPLI).
There has been one previous report of a cohort of patients with variants in Chromodomain Helicase DNA-binding 3 (CHD3), now recognized as Snijders Blok-Campeau syndrome. However, with only three previously-reported patients with variants outside the ATPase/helicase domain, it was unclear if variants outside of this domain caused a clinically similar phenotype. We have analyzed 24 new patients with CHD3 variants, including nine outside the ATPase/helicase domain.

To date, only six cases with molecularly well-characterized microdeletions within this chromosomal region have been described. We report on a patient with severe psychomotor delay, dysmorphic features, microcephaly and hypoplasia of the corpus callosum, epilepsy, a heart defect, and pronounced muscular hypotonia.

Accordingly, after the introduction of neonatal screening programs for CH, which allowed early and adequate treatment, an almost normal outcome for most CH patients could be achieved. However, a few patients did not reach this favorable outcome despite early and adequate treatment.
