Gastric cancer (GC) is among of the leading causes of cancer mortality worldwide. This is because many patients are diagnosed with advanced GC and postoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy have also exhibited limited effects on GC. TYRO3 has been considered carcinogenic and a potential therapeutic target for GC.

Heparanase (HPSE) is a kind of multifunctional extracellular hydrolase, and related to metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Endothelial necroptosis promotes the metastasis of cancer cells. It is not clear whether HPSE could mediate necroptosis of microvascular endothelial cells (MVECs) to promote HCC metastasis.

[Heparanase promotes trans-endothelial migration of hepatocarcinoma cells by inducing apoptosis of microvascular endothelial cells].

Objective: To explore the effect of heparanase (HPSE) on apoptosis of microvascular endothelial cells (MVECs) and trans-endothelial migration of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells.

Methods: A HCC cell line with high HPSE expression was selected by real-time quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR) and Western blotting and transefected with a lentiviral vector containing an interfering RNA sequence of HPSE. Transwell migration assay was performed to detect the trans-endothelial migration (TEM) rate of the transfected HCC cells across human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs).

Bile duct injury remains the most serious complication of laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC), the main cause was misidentification of cystic duct (CD). The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness and security of retrograde tracing along "cystic duct" (RTACD) method for the prevention of biliary misidentification injury in LC. The conception of RTACD method was first described and then illustrated by simulation dissection with extrahepatic biliary structure charts.
