The Korean Gynecologic Oncology Group (KGOG) was established in 2002 and is the only organization in Korea conducting multi-center clinical trials for gynecologic cancers. Since its re-establishment as a non-profit organization in 2021, KGOG has grown significantly, now including 207 gynecologic oncology specialists from 76 hospitals. This growth is a testament to the dedication and hard work of all those involved in the organization.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of patients who were diagnosed with endometrial cancer through biopsy and chose to undergo fertility sparing management using progestin at the Asan Medical Center, from January 2011 to December 2020. Of these, 113 patients who had an 18-FDG-PET/CT scan before starting treatment were included in our study.
We developed an attention model to predict future adverse glycemic events 30 min in advance based on the observation of past glycemic values over a 35 min period. The proposed model effectively encodes insulin administration and meal intake time using Time2Vec (T2V) for glucose prediction. The proposed impartial feature selection algorithm is designed to distribute rewards proportionally according to agent contributions.

Background: Bulky or multiple lymph node (LN) metastases are associated with poor prognosis in cervical cancer, and the size or number of LN metastases is not yet reflected in the staging system and therapeutic strategy. Although the therapeutic effects of surgical resection of bulky LNs before standard treatment have been reported in several retrospective studies, well-planned randomized clinical studies are lacking. Therefore, the aim of the Korean Gynecologic Oncology Group (KGOG) 1047/DEBULK trial is to investigate whether the debulking surgery of bulky or multiple LNs prior to concurrent chemoradiation therapy (CCRT) improves the survival rate of patients with cervical cancer IIICr diagnosed by imaging tests.

The KSGO revised the guidelines based on a literature search using 4 key elements: Population, Intervention, Comparison, and Outcome framework. These elements include the evaluation of the efficacy and safety of immune checkpoint inhibitor treatment in recurrent/advanced endometrial cancer patients who have failed platinum-based chemotherapy, as well as the effect of combined treatment with trastuzumab in patients with HER2/neu-positive endometrial cancer.

Nonetheless, the high cost of ICIs remains a major concern when implementing this strategy in the real world. This study aimed to determine the cost-effectiveness of pembrolizumab and dostarlimab with chemotherapy compared to TC for primary advanced MMRd EC.

However, the manufacturing processes of standalone OPVs and OPDs can be complex and costly, resulting in high production costs and limited scalability, thus limiting their use in a wide range of indoor applications. This study uses a multi-component photoactive structure to develop a self-powering dual-functional sensory device with effective energy harvesting and sensing capabilities.

Materials And Methods: This single-center retrospective study included 29 patients with HGNECC who underwent fluorodeoxyglucose-PET/CT scan followed by surgery between 2006 and 2016.
Objective: Our study aimed to evaluate the incidence of pathological findings in asymptomatic Korean patients with BRCA1/2 pathogenic variants who underwent risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy and to assess their long-term prognosis.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the medical records of patients with a germinal BRCA1/2 pathologic variant who had undergone risk-reducing salpingo-oophorectomy at Asan Medical Center (Seoul, Korea) between January 2013 and December 2020. All pathologic reports were made based on the sectioning and extensively examining the fimbriated end of the fallopian tube (SEE/FIM) protocol.
Objective: To investigate the impact of conization on survival outcomes and to identify a specific population that might benefit from conization before radical hysterectomy (RH) in patients with early-stage cervical cancer.
Methods: From six institutions in Korea, we identified node-negative, margin-negative, parametria-negative, 2009 FIGO stage IB1 cervical cancer patients who underwent primary type C RH between 2006 and 2021. The patients were divided into multiple groups based on tumor size, surgical approach, and histology.

To avoid the adverse consequences from abrupt increases in blood glucose, diabetic inpatients should be closely monitored. Using blood glucose data from type 2 diabetes patients, we propose a deep learning model-based framework to forecast blood glucose levels. We used continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) data collected from inpatients with type 2 diabetes for a week.

TP53 gene expression inhibits tumorigenesis, and its action is closely associated with cell death. 5-Azacytidine (5-aza), increases the expression of the TP53 gene by inhibiting DNA methyltransferase.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is very rare in infants. We present a case of living donor LT using a left lateral section graft performed in a 7-month-old female infant diagnosed with PFIC type II and HCC.

Herein, the authors propose a lithography-free piezoelectric energy harvester composed of centimeter-scale MoS monolayer films with an interdigitated electrode pattern that is enabled only by the large scale of the film. High-quality large-scale synthesis of the monolayer films is conducted by low-pressure chemical vapor deposition with the assistance of an unprecedented Na S promoter.

However, traditional photodetectors based on Si or III-V InGaAs semiconductors cannot directly detect polarized light without additional optical components. Herein, we demonstrate a self-powered linear-polarization-sensitive near-infrared (NIR) photodetector using a two-dimensional WSe/ReSe van der Waals heterostructure.

We retrospectively analyzed the medical records of 462 patients with symptomatic leiomyoma who underwent MPRM or SIRM between March 2019 and April 2021. Demographic characteristics and surgical outcomes, including the total operative time (OT), estimated blood loss (EBL), and surgical complication rate, were compared between the two groups.

To elucidate how antidiabetic agents prevent diabetic kidney disease progression, it is important to investigate their effect on the kidney environment in type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) patients. Herein, we investigated the expression pattern of urinary exosome-derived microRNA (miRNA) in patients taking a combination of DPP-4 inhibitor and metformin (DPP-4 inhibitor group) and compared them with patients taking a combination of sulfonylurea and metformin (sulfonylurea group).

For reliable physical health monitoring, the interface between the e-skin and human skin must be conformal and intact consistently. However, conventional e-skins cannot perfectly permeate sweat in normal day-to-day activities, resulting in degradation of the intimate interface over time and impeding stable physical sensing.
