However, excessive inflammatory response and uncontrolled angiogenesis lead to scar formation, which severely limits the success rate of glaucoma filtration surgery. Peptide hydrogels were well-established to possess good biocompatibility, inherent biodegradability, extracellular matrix analog property, and high drug loading efficiency.
