The detection of microadenomas commonly relies on contrast-enhanced sequences, highlighting the adenoma that demonstrates hypoenhancement relative to the native pituitary on T1-weighted sequences. Cancer patients experience pain at significant rates but are often undertreated-it is estimated that less than 1% of eligible cancer pain patients receive appropriate targeted drug delivery to address their pain. Cancer pain is often managed with systemic opioid treatment; however, this approach is limited in treating pain adequately and carries significant side effect risk profiles. Successful treatment of pain is closely tied to better oncologic outcomes as well as better measures on assessments of quality of life for cancer patients.

This study used data from the National Longitudinal Transition Study 2012 (NLTS 2012) to explore the future goal aspirations of students with extensive support needs who participate in alternate assessments, compared to other students with extensive support needs and to students with other disabilities. We examined students' individualized education program (IEP)/transition planning meeting experiences and postschool goals in relation to their functional, communication, and self-advocacy skills, as well as their school/community support. Students with other disabilities held higher expectations than all students with extensive support needs for future participation in postsecondary education, employment, independent living, and financial independence.

Results: Positron emission tomography (PET) using somatostatin receptor (SSTR) ligands can detect meningioma tissue with high sensitivity and specificity and may provide clinically relevant information beyond that obtained from structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or computed tomography (CT) imaging alone.
Objectives: To assess whether increasing levels of hospital stress-measured by intensive care unit (ICU) bed occupancy (primary), ventilators in use and emergency department (ED) overflow-were associated with decreasing COVID-19 ICU patient survival in Colorado ICUs during the pre-Delta, Delta and Omicron variant eras.
Design: A retrospective cohort study using discrete-time survival models, fit with generalised estimating equations.
Setting: 34 hospital systems in Colorado, USA, with the highest patient volume ICUs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meningiomas are the most common intracranial neoplasms in adults. While most meningiomas are cured by resection, further treatment by radiotherapy may be needed, particularly in WHO grades 2 and 3 tumors which have an increased risk of recurrence, even after conventional therapies. However, rarer giant tumefactive PVSs (GTPVSs) can have unusual multilocular cystic configurations, and are often confused for other pathologic entities, including neoplasms, cystic infarctions, and neuroepithelial cysts. Because GTPVSs are scarcely encountered and even more infrequently operated upon, many radiologists are unaware of the imaging and pathologic features of these lesions.

Using National Longitudinal Transition Study 2012 data, this study explored parent and youth expectations in the areas of postsecondary education, employment, independent living, and financial independence. Compared to youth with other disabilities, youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their parents had much lower expectations for the four postschool goals, and parent expectations were much lower than youth's own expectations. Also, youth's race, along with their daily living skills and functional abilities, were positively associated with parent and youth expectations in several future goal areas.

Background And Purpose: Cushing disease is typically caused by a pituitary adenoma that frequently is small and challenging to detect on conventional MR imaging. High-field-strength 7T MR imaging can leverage increased SNR and contrast-to-noise ratios compared with lower-field-strength MR imaging to help identify small pituitary lesions. In this first in human trial (NCT00390299), a carcinoembryonic antigen-expressing oncolytic measles virus derivative (MV-CEA), was administered in recurrent GBM patients either at the resection cavity (Group A), or, intratumorally on day 1, followed by a second dose administered in the resection cavity after tumor resection on day 5 (Group B).
