Objective: A literature analysis on the effects of female genital mutilation (FGM) on sexual and psychological well-being.
Design: Narrative systematic review.
Method: In March 2016 we performed a search for relevant literature in the Cochrane Library, Embase, PubMed, PsycINFO and CINAHL.
Aims: Extracellular matrix (ECM) turnover is a major determinant of diastolic dysfunction and pumping capacity, thus potentially contributing to the progression of congestive heart failure (CHF). Patients with both arterial hypertension and diabetes have a high risk of heart failure. Whether these patients have changes in cardiac ECM has not been studied previously.

The present study aims to evaluate the IgE-binding and the cross-reactivity of this protein in 13 patients allergic to codfish.

Our group found a 24-kDa IgE-reactive band that was also recognized by a monoclonal antiparvalbumin antibody in Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua).
