Methods: Respiratory specimens were collected from 1,184 infants aged 0-3 months who were hospitalized for acute respiratory infection at the Children's Hospital affiliated with the Capital Institute of Pediatrics from January 2018 to December 2023. The data were divided into three groups-the pre-epidemic (January 2018 to December 2019), epidemic prevention and control (January 2020 to December 2022), and post-epidemic (January 2023 to December 2023) groups-based on the outbreak of COVID-19 and the implementation and termination of NPIs.
It is still a challenge to use a fast and efficient method for preserving fresh-cut fruits from browning. To address this problem, we developed konjac glucomannan (KGM) incorporated with elderberry anthocyanins (EA) to form film-forming solution (KEA) combined with polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) solution to produce KEA/PVP fiber films by microfluidic blow spinning (MBS). Employing APP/PS1 transgenic mice and SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cell lines, our research assessed the efficacy of silibinin in reducing amyloid-beta (Aβ) deposition, neuroinflammation, and neuronal apoptosis. Our results demonstrate that silibinin significantly decreases Aβ accumulation and neuroinflammation and robustly inhibits apoptosis in neuronal cells.

Finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) simulations confirmed the high-intensity electromagnetic field due to plasmonic nanostructure. It is demonstrated that adjusting the distance between the nanopore inner wall and fluorophore prevented the fluorescence quenching, resulting in more than a thirty fold fluorescence enhancement.

Methods: From January 2022 and June 2023, 136 patients who had the single-level LDH and received the transforaminal endoscopic surgery were divided into two groups according to the foraminoplasty technique: the EET group (n = 69) and the ED group (n = 67). Surgery-related parameters, complications, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS, 0-10), and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI, 0-100%) were assessed and compared among two groups.
