Methods: This systematic review followed the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses guidelines and was registered on PROSPERO. PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and the Cochrane Library were searched from inception to April 1, 2024.
C-Glycosides are essential for the study of biological processes and the development of carbohydrate-based drugs. Despite the tremendous hurdles, glycochemists have often fantasized about the efficient, highly stereoselective synthesis of C-glycosides with the shortest steps under mild conditions. Herein, we report a desulfurative radical protocol to synthesize C-alkyl glycosides and coumarin C-glycosides under visible-light induced conditions without the need of an extra photocatalyst, in which stable and readily available glycosyl thiols that could be readily obtained from native sugars are activated in situ by pentafluoropyridine.

Precipitation in the plum rain period accounts for 40%-50% of annual precipitation in the monsoon region. To clarify the temporal variability of the isotopic composition of precipitation during the plum rain period from event to interannual time scale and identify the influencing factors, we analyzed the isotopic composition of precipitation and its influencing factors in Nanjing from 2015 to 2022. By using the Hybrid Single-particle Lagran-gian Integrated Trajectory (HYSPLIT) model with specific humidity analysis, we investigated the water vapor source and influencing factors.

We aim to investigate whether imaging features of M2 segment occlusion impact the effectiveness of EVT.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective cohort study from January 2017 to January 2022, drawing data from the CASE II registry (Computer-Based Online Database of Acute Stroke Patients for Stroke Management Quality Evaluation), which specifically documented patients with acute ischemic stroke presenting with M2 segment occlusion undergoing reperfusion therapy.
CO conversion with pure HO into CHOH and O driven by solar energy can supply fuels and life-essential substances for extraterrestrial exploration. However, the effective production of CHOH is significantly challenging. Here we report an organozinc complex/MoS heterostructure linked by well-defined zinc-sulfur covalent bonds derived by the structural deformation and intensive coupling of d(Zn)-p(S) orbitals at the interface, resulting in distinctive charge transfer behaviors and excellent redox capabilities as revealed by experimental characterizations and first-principle calculations.

In this work, using first-principles calculations, we predict that the H-MnN monolayer with the H-MoS-type structure is a stable intrinsic FMS with an indirect band gap of 0.79 eV and a high Curie temperature () of 380 K.

Background: APN (adiponectin) and APPL1 (adaptor protein, phosphotyrosine interacting with PH domain and leucine zipper 1) are potent vasculoprotective molecules, and their deficiency (eg, hypoadiponectinemia) contributes to diabetic vascular complications. However, the molecular mechanisms that govern their vasculoprotective genes as well as their alteration by diabetes remain unknown.
Methods: Diabetic medium-cultured rat aortic endothelial cells, mouse aortic endothelial cells from high-fat-diet animals, and diabetic human aortic endothelial cells were used for molecular/cellular investigations.
The SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant evades most currently approved neutralizing antibodies (nAbs) and caused drastic decrease of plasma neutralizing activity elicited by vaccination or prior infection, urging the need for the development of pan-variant antivirals. Breakthrough infection induces a hybrid immunological response with potentially broad, potent and durable protection against variants, therefore, convalescent plasma from breakthrough infection may provide a broadened repertoire for identifying elite nAbs. We performed single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) and BCR sequencing (scBCR-seq) of B cells from BA.

We aimed to characterize the association between PT and other procedure-related variables on clinical outcomes among patients with ABAO who underwent endovascular treatment (EVT).
Methods: Patients with ABAO who underwent EVT with a documented PT in the EVT for Acute Basilar Artery Occlusion (BASILAR) study from January 2014 to May 2019 among 47 comprehensive centers in China were included.

Objectives: This study aimed to explore the association between multiple metals' exposure and children's height.
Methods: We collected urine samples and physical measurement data of 1477 preschoolers in China. Children's actual height was measured, and whether reached target height was also assessed.
Background: The effect of imaging selection paradigms on endovascular thrombectomy outcomes in patients with acute ischemic stroke with large vessel occlusion remains uncertain. The study aimed to assess the effect of basic imaging (noncontrast computed tomography with or without computed tomographic angiography) versus advanced imaging (magnetic resonance imaging or computed tomography perfusion) on clinical outcomes following thrombectomy in patients with stroke with large vessel occlusion in the early and extended windows using a pooled analysis of patient-level data from 2 pivotal randomized clinical trials done in China.
Methods: This post hoc analysis used data from 1182 patients included in 2 multicenter, randomized controlled trials in China that evaluated adjunct therapies to endovascular treatment for acute ischemic stroke (Direct Endovascular Treatment for Large Artery Anterior Circulation Stroke performed from May 20, 2018, through May 2, 2020, and Intravenous Tirofiban Before Endovascular Treatment in Stroke from October 10, 2018, through October 31, 2021).
Background And Purpose: Endovascular treatment is a reference treatment for acute basilar artery occlusion (ABAO). However, no established and specific methods are available for the preoperative screening of patients with ABAO suitable for endovascular treatment. This study explores the potential value of DWI-based radiomics in predicting the functional outcomes of endovascular treatment in ABAO.

The secondary objective was to identify potential mediators for the clinical effect of tirofiban.
Methods: Post hoc exploratory analysis of the Endovascular Treatment With versus Without Tirofiban for Patients with Large Vessel Occlusion Stroke (RESCUE BT) trial, which was a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial at 55 centers in China from October 2018 to October 2021.
Background: Myocardial insulin resistance is a hallmark of diabetic cardiac injury. However, the underlying molecular mechanisms remain unclear. Recent studies demonstrate that the diabetic heart is resistant to other cardioprotective interventions, including adiponectin and preconditioning.

To date, lots of CHS genes have been obtained from plants, while few were from Rhododendron genus. In this study we got a new CHS gene named RhCHS (MW358095) from Rhododendron × hybridum Hort.

Recent advances in single-cell assay for transposase accessible chromatin using sequencing (scATAC-seq) and its coassays have transformed the field of single-cell epigenomics and transcriptomics. However, the low detection efficiency of current methods has limited our understanding of the true complexity of chromatin accessibility and its relationship with gene expression in single cells. Here, we report a high-sensitivity scATAC-seq method, termed multiplexed end-tagging amplification of transposase accessible chromatin (METATAC), which detects a large number of accessible sites per cell and is compatible with automation.

Therapeutic interventions effectively reversing pathological remodeling are an urgent unmet medical need. We recently demonstrated that AdipoR1 (APN [adiponectin] receptor 1) phosphorylation by GRK2 (G-protein-coupled receptor kinase 2) contributes to maladaptive remodeling in the ischemic heart.
