Background: It is extremely important for nursing students to be professionally motivated to train qualified future professional nurses. Students' vocational motivation is affected by their experiences in clinical and academic learning environments.
Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the correlation between the vocational motivation levels of nursing students and their attitudes toward clinical practice.
Objective: To compare the effects of synchronous and asynchronous training on the academic achievements and e-learning attitudes of nursing student trained in colostomy and ileostomy care.
Methods: The quasi-experimental, descriptive study was conducted at the Nursing Department of a health facility after approval from the Tekirdag Namik Kemal University, Tekirdag, Turkey, from May to June 2020, and comprised nursing students who were divided in intervention group A and control group B. Those in group A were given synchronous training on colostomy and ileostomy care using active learning techniques on an online platform, while those group B received their training only asynchronously.
Objective: To perform Stoller afferent neurostimulation (SANS) with and without a low-dose anticholinergic (oxybutynin hydrochloride) in patients with detrusor overactivity and compare the results obtained with the two therapeutic approaches.
Material And Methods: A total of 43 patients with symptoms of detrusor overactivity (frequency, urgency, urge incontinence) underwent urodynamic studies (UDS). Those in whom UDS revealed phasic detrusor overactivity were evaluated using a quality of life questionnaire and voiding diaries.
Objectives: The aim of the present study was to assess and compare pre- and postoperative scrotal pain in patients with varicocele who underwent varicocelectomy with different approaches.
Methods: The study included 144 consecutive patients with left-sided varicocele who had left scrotal pain for more than 3 months. All patients underwent varicocele ligation using either a subinguinal or inguinal approach with or without external spermatic vein ligation.
