Background: Albumin, a vital component in regulating human blood oncotic pressure, plays an important role in the prediction of prognosis in pediatric patients.Previous research identified significant differences in serum albumin levels of healthy and critically ill children.
Methods: The present study aims to investigate the correlation between albumin levels measured during pediatric intensive care unit(PICU) admission and clinical outcomes.
Objectives: To examine citrate anticoagulation in continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) in the PICU.
Design: Post hoc analysis of a curated, multicenter dataset collected from January 1, 2022, to June 1, 2023.
Setting: Seven PICUs in Turkey.
Background: Pain and sedation management is an integral part of pediatric intensive care practice. Sedoanalgesia management must be balanced in order to optimize comfort and avoid complications. In order to achieve this balance, sedoanalgesia management needs to be clarified in pediatric intensive care units (PICU).

- The study aimed to assess the status of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) usage, perceptions, and educational barriers in pediatric emergency departments (PEDs) and pediatric intensive care units (PICUs) in Turkey.
- The survey revealed that a significant majority of PEDs (84.2%) and all PICUs (100%) utilize POCUS, mainly for thoracic and cardiovascular assessments, but face challenges like lack of equipment, manpower, and training.
- Participants emphasized the importance of mandatory POCUS training during fellowship programs to enhance usage and improve patient outcomes in pediatric care.
Background: Continuous kidney replacement therapy (CKRT) has recently become the preferred kidney replacement modality for children with acute kidney injury (AKI). We hypothesise that CKRT technical parameters and treatment settings in addition to the clinical characteristics of patients may influence the circuit lifetime in children.
Methods: The study involved children included in the EurAKId registry (NCT02960867), who underwent CKRT treatment.
