Consistently arranging molecules within single-walled carbon nanotube (SWCNT) templates shows promise for creating advanced 1D heterostructures, but diameter variations in raw SWCNTs pose a significant challenge. In this work, a precise synthesis of C fullerene-filled SWCNTs (C@SWCNTs) is achieved through vapor-phase filling followed by polymer sorting. As the SWCNT diameter increases, C molecules first stack in a single chain, then form unusual configurations, including staggered double chains and double helices-configurations not observed in bulk C crystals.

Background: The cardiometabolic index (CMI) serves as a significant marker of diabetes mellitus (DM) and may predict the potential for cardiovascular disease development. Nevertheless, the correlation between CMI and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) among individuals exhibiting varying glucose metabolism statuses (GMS) continues to be unclear.

Methods: Overall, 24,006 individuals aged 20 and above were enrolled in the research, drawn from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) database.

This multicentre study addresses the genetic spectrum of colorectal polyposis in China. We analyzed 120 patients with over 10 adenomas using a 139-gene next-generation sequencing panel and multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification. Findings revealed that 89 patients carried pathogenic germline variants, primarily in the APC gene.

The original starch was irradiated with γ-rays at doses ranging from 0 to 10 kGy to investigate how irradiation influences the formation of tapioca granular starch-ascorbyl palmitate (TGS-AP) complexes. The results indicated that the pretreatment of tapioca starch with appropriate irradiation doses effectively increased the content of AP encapsulated in the complex, and the loading efficiency increased from 22.74 % (0 kGy) to a maximum of 32.
