Elevated CO (eCO) in the atmosphere can increase plant C input into soils. However, in dryland cropping systems, it remains unclear how eCO may alter soil organic C content and stability in relation to potential changes in microbial community composition and whether these changes may depend on soil type and depth. Using an eight-year free-air-CO-enrichment (SoilFACE) system, this study addressed these questions in three farming soils including a sandy Calcarosol, a clay Vertosol and a silt loam Chromosol at depths of 0-40 cm.

Background: Florida Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant and Cell Therapy Consortium (FPBCC) was formed in 2018 by five pediatric transplant programs in Florida. The key objectives of the consortium are to improve outcomes for children undergoing HSCT through collaboration among centers, data sharing, implementation of best practices, QI projects, and prospective clinical trials. The first step in that process was to analyze HSCT outcomes from all participating centers and identify areas for improvement.

Pain is a common and complex non-motor symptom in people with Parkinson's disease (PWP). Little is known about the genetic drivers of pain in PWP, and progress in its study has been challenging. Here, we conducted two genome-wide association studies (GWAS) to identify genetic variants associated with pain experienced during the earliest stages of Parkinson's disease.

The Analyzer for Cusp Electrons (ACE) instruments on the Tandem Reconnection and Cusp Electrodynamics Reconnaissance Satellites (TRACERS) mission provide measurements of electron velocity distribution functions from two closely spaced spacecraft in a low Earth orbit that passes through the magnetospheric cusp. The precipitating and upward-going electrons provide a sensitive probe of the magnetic field line topology and electrostatic potential structure, as well as revealing dynamic processes. ACE measurements contribute to the top-level TRACERS goals of characterizing the spatial and temporal variation of magnetic reconnection at the terrestrial magnetopause and its relationship to dynamic structures in the cusp.

Background: Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) is an accepted treatment for antero-medial osteoarthritis with low overall failure rates. In the United States, cementation remains the gold standard of implant fixation; however, multiple studies have shown potential benefits of increased survivorship with cementless fixation. The aim of this study was to evaluate clinical and radiographic outcomes of a novel cementless medial UKA implant.
