Study Objective: To compare the surgical outcomes of hysterectomy by vaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (vNOTES) for patients with body mass index (BMI) <30 and BMI ≥30.

Design: A retrospective cohort study.

Is V-NOTES Hysterectomy as Safe and Feasible as Outpatient Surgery Compared with Vaginal Hysterectomy?

Study Objective: The vaginal approach is the reference surgical route to perform hysterectomy for benign pathologies. Hysterectomy via transvaginal natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (V-NOTES) is a new technique that would overcome the limitations of vaginal surgery by allowing a complete exploration of the peritoneal cavity and a constant visual control of the adjacent structures. The aim of this study is to assess the V-NOTES technique compared with vaginal hysterectomy (VH).

Quantitative Effect of Metal Artefact Reduction on CT-based attenuation correction in FDG PET/CT in patients with hip prosthesis.

Background: Metal artefact reduction (MAR) techniques still are in limited use in positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT). This study aimed to investigate the effect of Smart MAR on quantitative PET analysis in the vicinity of hip prostheses.

Materials And Methods: Activities were measured on PET/CT images in 6 sources with tenfold activity concentration contrast to background, attached to the head, neck and the major trochanter of a human cadaveric femur, and in the same sources in similar locations after a hip prosthesis (titanium cup, ceramic head, chrome-cobalt stem) had been inserted into the femur.

Mis-diagnosed giant ovarian cyst and ventriculoperitoneal shunt malfunction.

Abdominal pseudocysts are common complications of ventriculoperitoneal shunt (VPS). We report the case of a 37-year-old woman treated by VPS for congenital obstructive hydrocephalus, who presented shunt dysfunction related to a voluminous abdominal cyst initially diagnosed as cerebrospinal fluid pseudocyst. The cyst was drained and the VPS was removed after endoscopic third ventriculocisternostomy (ETV).
