Chronic experiments on dogs showed that antioxidant drugs (reamberin, ximedone, vitamin E) are highly effective in correcting the functional and metabolic disorders in myocardium under endogenous intoxication conditions. Recovery of the functional activity was accompanied by correction of the lipid metabolism of cardiac cell structures. One mechanism of the drug action is related to a decrease in the lipid peroxidation rate and phospholipase A2 activity in cardiac tissue structures.

The impulse activity of neurons of the sensorimotor cortex (SMC) during the formation of a food-procuring reflex in the rabbit, as well as in trained animals if reinforcement is discontinued and substituted, was investigated. In the process of training the neurons of the SMC acquire the capacity for anticipatory reactions. The sudden abolition and substitution of reinforcement elicits the appearance of activity which is characteristic for the process of discordance in the acceptor of the result of the action.

State of hunger is characterized by the presence of definite distribution of interimpulse intervals in the activity of sensorimotor cortical neurones (SMC) of rabbit. Mostly bi- and three-modal distribution of interimpulse intervals in the background activity in hungry animals changes in the process of elaboration of food-procuring habit. As the habit consolidates, the SMC neurones acquire the ability to forestalling actions.
