In a previous randomized clinical study, we found that administering a live multistrain probiotic and absorbent smectite once a day for eight weeks to patients with T2D could reduce chronic systemic inflammatory state, insulin resistance, waist circumference and improve the glycemic profile. However, there is a lack of evidence supporting the efficacy of probiotic co-supplementation with absorbent smectite on pancreatic β-cell function in T2D.

Aim: To determine the antiproliferative effect of crude extracts and cytokinin fractions from the mycelial biomass of seven fungi species on colon cancer cells in vitro.
Materials And Methods: Cytokinin content in mycelial biomass of Ganoderma lucidum, Lentinula edodes, Trametes versicolor, Pleurotus ostreatus, Morchella esculenta, Hericium coralloides, and Fomitopsis officinalis was determined by high performance liquid chromatography mass spectrometry.
The paper presents the results of use of two modes of controlled artificial ventilation (ALV) in adult patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome of various genesis: 1) ALV with its controlled volume, the descending pattern of inspiratory flow, the limitation of respiratory volume in the airways (RV, 6-8 ml/kg; Ptr.peak < 30 cm H2O), 2) ALV with its controlled volume, the orthogonal pattern of inspiratory flow (RV, 12-15 ml/kg, Ptr.peak > 35 cm H2O).
