Current medical literature pays increasingly more attention to diseases collectively referred to as psychosomatoses. Combination of psychic and somatic disorders in a single patient is a common occurrence. Timely recognition of psychic problems in patients managed in general practice settings not only increases efficacy of the treatment process at large but also permits to avoid unnecessary prescription of potent drugs, surgical intervention, and inappropriate hospitalization in case of a psychic disease disguised under a somatic disorder.

Method for detection of pathogenic microorganisms in different microbiological assays (water, faeces, punctate etc.) has been developed. Device for preparation of samples and filtration of studied material through transparent tracking membranes with fixed size of pores and subsequent microscopy of filtrate was developed also as well as device for filtration of different liquids in closed cylinder under pressure.

The efficiency of preventive oral antibiotic therapy before the root channel filling was evaluated in 78 patients with granulating and granulomatous chronic periodontitis. Positive clinical changes were observed after lincomycin or rondomycin therapy (p = 0.017).
