Purpose: Radiation Therapy (RT) can modulate the immune system and generate anti-tumor T cells. However, this anti-tumor-activity is countered by radiation-induced immunosuppression (RIIS). Clinical advantages of proactively sparing RT dose to immune rich organs have not previously been evaluated.

Increasing screening for breast cancer using a randomized evaluation of electronic health record nudges: Design and rationale of the I-screen clinical trial.

Background: Routine mammogram screening is critical for early detection of breast cancer. However, screening rates are below national targets, with persistent disparities among sub-populations. The purpose of this trial is to examine the effectiveness of a multi-component nudge intervention to increase breast cancer screening among eligible primary care patients.

Introduction: Distinguishing those with a personality disorder from those with major depressive disorder (MDD) can be challenging, but establishing the correct diagnosis can direct appropriate management.

Aim: To identify whether behavioural themes differ between those with personality disorders from those with MDD, and how those differences might relate to a clinical team's perception of diagnosis.

Method: An observational study identifying all inpatients presenting with symptoms of depression.

Effects of the IronHand Soft Exoskeleton on Forearm Muscle Activity During in Field Automotive Assembly Tasks.

OCCUPATIONAL APPLICATIONSWhen compared to not using a soft-hand exoskeleton, the IronHand caused both increases and decreases in forearm muscle activity while completing automotive assembly tasks. Surprisingly, although there were reductions in muscle activity when wearing the IronHand, only a few of these decreases resulted in muscle activity changing such that they fell to below recommended ergonomic thresholds. Despite this, some individuals in our study clearly benefited from the device, and this suggests that there is potential for widespread use of such a device if fine tuned to the individual and task demands.

Bark and ambrosia beetles are among the most ecologically and economically damaging introduced plant pests worldwide. Life history traits including polyphagy, haplodiploidy, inbreeding polygyny, and symbiosis with fungi contribute to their dispersal and impact. Species vary in their interactions with host trees, with many attacking stressed or recently dead trees, such as the globally distributed Euwallacea similis (Ferrari).
