Objectives: To evaluate the impact of aspirin resistance on the incidence of preeclampsia and maternal serum biomarker levels in pregnant individuals at high-risk of preeclampsia receiving low dose aspirin (LDA).
Study Design: We performed a secondary analysis of a randomized, placebo-controlled trial of LDA (60 mg daily) for preeclampsia prevention in high-risk individuals (N = 524) on pregnancy outcomes and concentrations of PLGF, IL-2, IL-6, thromboxane B2 (TXB), sTNF-R1 and sTNF-R2 from maternal serum.
Main Outcome Measures: LDA-resistant individuals were defined as those having a TXB concentration >10 ng/ml or <75 % reduction in concentration at 24-28 weeks after LDA administration.
Oxygen in marine sediments regulates many key biogeochemical processes, playing a crucial role in shaping Earth's climate and benthic ecosystems. In this context, branched glycerol dialkyl glycerol tetraethers (brGDGTs), essential biomarkers in paleoenvironmental research, exhibit an as-yet-unresolved association with sediment oxygen conditions. Here, we investigated brGDGTs in sediments from three deep-sea regions (4045 to 10,100 m water depth) dominated by three respective trench systems and integrated the results with in situ oxygen microprofile data.

Importance: Pelvic floor disorders are common and burdensome. Data on the effect of induction of labor on pelvic floor disorders are sparse and results are mixed.
Objective: Our aim was to evaluate whether elective labor induction in nulliparous women increases the risks of symptomatic urinary incontinence (UI), anal incontinence (AI), or pelvic organ prolapse (POP) 4 years after delivery.
Objective: Intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy is associated with adverse pregnancy outcomes including intrauterine fetal demise, spontaneous preterm labor, and meconium-stained amniotic fluid. Studies have yet to determine if patients with a history of pregnancy complicated by cholestasis had an association with more severe adverse outcomes in a subsequent pregnancy complicated by cholestasis.
Study Design: Retrospective cohort study of multiparous, singleton, nonanomalous live gestations complicated by cholestasis at Elmhurst Hospital Center from 2005 to 2019.
