Background: Covid-19 lockdown has influenced the lifestyle of handloom women as weaving is the only mean of earnings for them. The nutrition profile of working women is a vital part of their general health as they have more chances of dietary deficiencies; in addition they face various safety related problems at workplace. Working conditions and household responsibilities complicate role conflict leading to stress that in turn affect nutrition and health status.

Rational Identification of Hsp90 Inhibitors as Anticancer Lead Molecules by Structure Based Drug Designing Approach.

Background: Heat shock protein 90 (Hsp90) is an encouraging anticancer target for the development of clinically significant molecules. Schiff bases play a crucial role in anticancer research because of their ease of synthesis and excellent antiproliferative effect against multiple cancer cell lines. Therefore, we started our research work with the discovery of resorcinol/4-chloro resorcinol derived Schiff bases as Hsp90 inhibitors, which resulted in the discovery of a viable anticancer lead molecule.

Challenges in Anaesthetic management of a child for thoracoscopic assisted oesophageal replacement.

The loss of oesophageal length or obliteration of oesophageal lumen due to stricture acquired by accidental caustic ingestion is more common in children that may require major operative reconstruction. A number of procedures have been developed for anatomic replacement of oesophagus of which thoracoscopic assisted gastric transposition has shown the best outcome in children. This demands an extensive pre-operative evaluation, preparation and anaesthetic management since this is challenging and prolonged procedure done under one lung ventilation (OLV).

Therapeutic effects of tender coconut water on oxidative stress in fructose fed insulin resistant hypertensive rats.

Objective: To investigate whether tender coconut water (TCW) mitigates oxidative stress in fructose fed hypertensive rats.

Methods: Male Sprague Dawley rats were fed with fructose rich diet and treated with TCW (4 mL/100 g of body weight) for 3 subsequent weeks. Systolic blood pressure was measured every three days using the indirect tail cuff method.
