Radial scar of the breast.

Four cases of radial scar of the breast, primarily diagnosed as carcinoma are presented; the patients were found among 858 patients who were operated on at our Breast Unit over the last 4 years. The lesion was revealed on routine mammographic examination in 4 of our patients, while in the fourth it was found by palpation. In two of our patients mammographic examination revealed architectural distortion, in one patient micro-calcifications and in the fourth patient a stellate lesion was found.

Clear cell hyperplasia of the fallopian tube epithelium associated with ectopic pregnancy: report of a case.

A case of clear cell hyperplasia of the fallopian tube epithelium associated with ectopic pregnancy is described. The lesion was encountered in a 31-year-old woman who presented with abdominal pain and had a positive pregnancy test. Ultrasound examination disclosed an enlarged right fallopian tube.

Ovarian tumors: prediction of the probability of malignancy by using patient's age and tumor morphologic features with a logistic model.

An attempt was made to predict the probability of malignancy of a given ovarian tumor in a certain patient by using the age and simple morphologic features of the tumor. A cohort of 959 patients with ovarian tumors was analysed retrospectively according to the patient's age and tumor characteristics such as greatest diameter, consistency, bilaterality and diagnosis as malignant (271 patients) or benign (688 patients). All variables were entered unconditionally in a logistic regression.
