Background: Encouraging results on survival of patients with malignant peritoneal mesothelioma have been shown with the use of cytoreductive surgery and perioperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy. This study explores the impact of aggressive surgical treatment on overall survival of peritoneal mesothelioma.
