About Your Child's Eating scale: a cross-cultural adaptation and validation of the questionnaire in the Greek language.

Feeding is an interactive process between parents and children and is related to children's healthy nutrition, growth, and feelings about the child or parent. The effectiveness of the interaction between feeding and behaviour is strongly influenced by how well this reciprocal procedure is stimulated and supported. The current study aimed to cross-culturally adapt and validate the About Your Child's Eating (AYCE) questionnaire in its Greek language version for Greek-Cypriot parents and caregivers of children aged six months to 16 years with or without feeding and swallowing problems.

Evaluation of the Efficacy of Focal Vibration Therapy-Novafon as an Assistive Therapeutic Tool for Children With Feeding and Swallowing Disorders.

Background: Paediatric dysphagia refers to any feeding and/or swallowing problem that affects nutritional or liquid intake safety or adequacy. There is a prominent lack of available evidence-based effective therapeutic tools to facilitate the rehabilitation of feeding and/or swallowing disorders in children.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to assess the effectiveness of focal vibration therapy-Novafon as an assistive therapeutic intervention for children with feeding and swallowing difficulties.

The Effectiveness of Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT LOUD) on Children's Speech and Voice: A Scoping Review.

Background: This scoping review had as a primary goal a review of the literature and the an analysis of the possible effectiveness of the LSVT LOUD approach in children with voice and speech deficits.

Methods: A search was conducted in the Scopus and PubMed databases in May of 2024. Eleven articles were obtained from the search.

A Prospective Study of the Family Quality of Life, Illness Perceptions, and Coping in Mothers of Children Newly Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Communication Difficulties.

(1) Background: This study assesses the impact of mothers' illness perceptions about autism spectrum disorder and their coping strategies on the family's quality of life during the initial period following diagnosis and one year afterward. (2) Method: The sample consisted of 53 mothers of children newly diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and having communication difficulties who completed the following: the Beach Center Family Quality of Life Scale, the Brief Illness Perception Questionnaire, and the Brief-COPE. (3) Results: The findings revealed a moderate family quality of life in the initial assessment and a lack of a statistically significant change one year later.

Using telepractice for language sampling during COVID-19 pandemic: A scoping review.

Introduction: Language sampling is a widely used means of language assessment; it is based on the collection and transcription of a child's language production in various communicative contexts. The need for social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic impacted language sampling and speech and language therapy services in general. The in-person assessment became extremely challenging leading to the immediate increased use of telepractice in speech and language therapy.
