Clinical efficiency of allergen-specific immunotherapy with fungal allergens in patients with chronic polypous rhinosinusitis against the background of fungal sensitization.

Fungal flora is one of the causes of inflammatory, including polypous, processes in the nasal cavity. In this regard, studies aimed at reducing the effect of fungal sensitization (FS) on the course of chronic polypous rhinosinusitis (CPRS) are relevant. The objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of various treatment options on the clinical course of the disease in patients with chronic polypous rhinosinusitis against the background of sensitization to fungi.

[The treatment of an acute thrombophlebitis of subcutaneous veins of the foot: an current surgical problem].

The results of treatment of 1225 patients with an acute subcutaneous foot veins thrombophlebitis were analysed. Morphological changes of the vein wall were studied up, bacteriological investigation of the thrombosed veins was conducted.

It is emphasized in the discussed problem that several factors participate simultaneously in the mechanism of thrombogenesis. At the same time, local hemodynamic disorders (congestion, turbulent flow, local hypoxemia) lead to pathological changes of blood platelet hemostatic properties in these regions, which is conducive to local thrombus formation. Inflammation develops as a consequence of the response of the venous wall to stimulators of infectious, autoimmune or neoplastic character arriving along the lymphatic vessels, capillaries and perivascular spaces.
