Previously healthy Caucasian female in her 30s initially presented for progressively enlarging right-sided cervical lymphadenopathy with associated sore throat. After she completed 2 antibiotic regimens for presumed infection with no relief, a CT Neck with contrast was obtained which demonstrated multiple pathologic lymph nodes, the largest lymph node demonstrating central necrosis. Patient underwent fine needle aspiration with Otolaryngology, as well as core needle biopsy with Interventional Radiology, both of which were nondiagnostic.

An Innovative Approach to Pharmacy Law Education Utilizing a Mock Board of Pharmacy Meeting.

A thorough understanding of pharmacy law by students is important in the molding of future pharmacy practitioners but a standardized template for the best way to educate students in this area has not been created. A mock Board of Pharmacy meeting was designed and incorporated into the Pharmacy Law course to meet the ACPE accreditation standards at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy. Students acted as Board of Pharmacy members and utilized technology to decide outcomes of cases and requests addressed in a typical 2 day Tennessee Board of Pharmacy meeting.

Testicular hemangioma mimicking a malignant neoplasm.

A 34-year-old man who presented with right scrotal pain, and who on subsequent ultrasound examination, was found to have an intratesticular hypoechoic mass. Based on the ultrasound appearance of this mass, a malignant germ cell tumor was thought to be the most likely diagnosis. Preoperative serum tumor markers, including lactate dehydrogenase, alpha-1-fetoprotein, and beta-human chorionic gonadotropin, were negative.
