Describing home range and resource selection is crucial for understanding ecological needs and creating conservation programs. Still, our knowledge of spatial and behavioural ecology for most species remains limited. Here, we used satellite transmitters to investigate core and home range sizes, habitat selection, and roost characteristics in seven tawny owl males in Western Serbia during the autumn-winter period 2023.

Tetracyclines contribute the most to mucosal damage. The common symptoms are difficulty swallowing, pain while swallowing, and possibly retrosternal pain.

To be useful for such purpose, it should be possible to quickly train precise surrogate models from a small number of simulation results (10-100) obtained from appropriately sampled points in the desired part of the design space. Two sampling methods and two machine learning models are compared here.

In our study, trehalose suppressed 6-OHDA-induced caspase-3/PARP1 cleavage (detected by immunoblotting), apoptotic DNA fragmentation/phosphatidylserine externalization, oxidative stress, mitochondrial depolarization (flow cytometry), and mitochondrial damage (electron microscopy) in SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma cells. The protection was not mediated by autophagy, autophagic receptor p62, or antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase and catalase.
