Total Hysterectomy by Low-Impact Laparoscopy to Decrease Opioids Consumption: A Prospective Cohort Study.

Our objective was to evaluate postoperative pain and opioid consumption in patients undergoing hysterectomy by low-impact laparoscopy and compare these parameters with conventional laparoscopy. We conducted a prospective study in two French gynecological surgery departments from May 2017 to January 2018. The primary endpoint was the intensity of postoperative pain evaluated by a validated numeric rating scale (NRS) and opioid consumption in the postoperative recovery unit on Day 0 and Day 1.

Magnetic Resonance and Ultrasound Fusion Imaging to Characterise Ovarian Masses: A Feasibility Study.

Background/aim: Magnetic resonance (MR) and ultrasound (US) fusion imaging (MR-US fusion) is already used to guide prostate biopsies and has been proven accurate for diagnosing cervical cancer. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the feasibility and performance of MR-US fusion for characterizing adnexal masses.

Patients And Methods: A retrospective study was conducted between 2014 and 2018 including women referred to our Gynaecological Oncology Department for characterization of an adnexal mass (n=106).

Introduction: Patients with Mayer - Rokitansky - Küster - Hauser (MRKH) syndrome often experience chronic pelvic pain negatively impacting their life's quality. Our understanding of the factors involved in this symptom remains poor. The aim of our study was to further investigate the different components of this pelvic pain in patients with MRKH undergoing pelvic surgery.
