BRM (SMARCA2) and BRG1 (SMARCA4) are mutually exclusive ATPase subunits of the mSWI/SNF (BAF) chromatin remodeling complex. BAF is an attractive therapeutic target because of its role in transcription, and mutations in the subunits of BAF are common in cancer and neurological disorders. Herein, we report the discovery of compound () as a potent allosteric inhibitor of the dual ATPase subunits from a high-throughput screening hit with a BRM IC of ∼27 μM.

Background: Postpartum depression affects 10% to 20% of birthing people and is associated with changes in healthcare use. Little is known about the association between postpartum depressive symptoms and choice to use contraception; however, both untreated or undertreated depression and short interpregnancy intervals pose substantial perinatal health risks.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate whether postpartum depressive symptoms are associated with changes in decisions to use any method of contraception.
Deep eutectic solvents (DES) formed using choline chloride (ChCl), -toluenesulfonic acid (TSA) of stoichiometry ChCl: pTSA (1:1) and (1:2), and its ternary eutectic mixtures with phosphoric acid (PA) 85% as an additive (ChCl: TSA: PA) were evaluated for cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) isolation. Initially, the hydrolytic efficiency to produce CNC of each DES was compared before and after adding phosphoric acid by Hammett acidity parameters and the Gutmann acceptor number. Moreover, different DES molar ratios and reaction time were studied at 80°C for CNC optimization.
