Purpose Of Review: Multiple myeloma is a chronic malignancy and with evolving treatment options, understanding the economic burden and cost-effectiveness of therapies is crucial for clinicians and researchers.
Recent Findings: In this, we review the recent approval of Bispecific antibodies and CAR-T for myeloma and their cost implications, including direct and indirect costs. We compare this to current regimens and provide cost comparisons in this review.
Lyme disease is a tick-borne infection caused by the spirochete Borrelia (Borreliella) burgdorferi. Borrelia species have highly fragmented genomes composed of a linear chromosome and a constellation of linear and circular plasmids some of which are required throughout the enzootic cycle. Included in this plasmid repertoire by almost all Lyme disease spirochetes are the 32-kb circular plasmid cp32 prophages that are capable of lytic replication to produce infectious virions called ϕBB-1.

Prehospital behavioral emergency protocols provide guidance on when a medication may be necessary; however, the final decision of which medication to administer to a patient is made independently by paramedics. This study sought to describe the clinical decision-making process of prehospital behavioral emergencies when paramedics consider chemical restraints, and determine the factors associated with choosing specific medications to administer.
