The submarine groundwater discharge (SGD) into the sea is known to alter various biotic and abiotic properties of coastal waters. However, its influence on the lower trophic levels, namely, meiofauna, is poorly understood. This study highlights the impact of SGD on the density, distribution, and diversity of intertidal meiofaunal communities along the subterranean estuaries (STEs) of the southwest coast of India (Arabian Sea).

The presence of continuous fluid movement in dentin tubules and positive pulpal pressure prevents complete water replacement by resin monomers. This results in areas of demineralized dentin, which contain collagen fibers without resin infiltration.

Despite initial treatment with corticosteroids and biologic therapies, including anakinra and tocilizumab, her condition continued to deteriorate, necessitating intensive care unit admission. Following multidisciplinary consultation, ruxolitinib therapy, a Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor targeting hyperinflammation, was initiated.
