Vitamin D is associated with sleep quality and duration, but it's unclear whether vitamin D status influences sleep variability. Therefore, we sought to determine whether vitamin D status was associated with sleep variability in healthy adults. We assessed objective sleep, including timing and duration standard deviation () using the Philips Actiwatch Spectrum and subjective sleep quality using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) in 130 adults.

Fully understanding the complex interactions between cells of many different types and functions is often slowed by the intense data analysis required. Multiplexed Ion Beam Imaging (MIBI) has been developed to simultaneously characterize 50+ cell types and their functions within the TME with a subcellular spatial resolution, but this results in complex data sets that are challenging to qualitatively analyze.

Previous works have assessed spatial structure by quantifying exchange using Lagrangian particle-tracking simulations, but their scope of analysis is limited by their use of predefined subpopulations. To instead delineate subpopulations emerging naturally from marine population connectivity, we interpret this connectivity as a network, enabling the use of powerful analytic tools from the field of network theory.

Although the accurate targeting of myelin to axons and its maintenance are critical for CNS performance, the molecular pathways that regulate these processes remain poorly understood. Through a combination of zebrafish genetics, mouse models, and primary OL cultures, we found FBXW7, a recognition subunit of an E3 ubiquitin ligase complex, is a regulator of adult myelination in the CNS.
