AFLP was used to analyze the genetic diversity among Ochrobactrum strains. AFLP patterns showed a great genomic variability that separated the samples into three distinct clusters. Ochrobactrum intermedium was found to be closely related to Brucella abortus S99.

Study Design: A diagnostic test study was carried out. A sample of 25 selected women who were diagnosed by histology as having CIN 2/3 was analyzed.
In recent years, the potato crop in Mexico has been notably affected by diseases recognized as potato purple top (PPT) in foliage and potato hair sprouts (PHS) in germinating tubers. In both cases, these syndromes reduce production by affecting viability of the tubers used as seeds. There is evidence indicating that phytoplasmas are associated with these syndromes.
