Purpose: Low-grade intermediate-risk nonmuscle-invasive bladder cancer is a chronic illness commonly treated by repetitive transurethral resection of bladder tumor. We compared the efficacy and safety of intravesical chemoablation with UGN-102 (a reverse thermal gel containing mitomycin), with or without subsequent transurethral resection of bladder tumor, to transurethral resection of bladder tumor alone in patients with low-grade intermediate-risk nonmuscle-invasive bladder cancer.

Materials And Methods: This prospective, randomized, phase 3 trial recruited patients with new or recurrent low-grade intermediate-risk nonmuscle-invasive bladder cancer to receive initial treatment with either UGN-102 once weekly for 6 weeks or transurethral resection of bladder tumor.

The purpose of the research is to summarize the current information about post-mortem interval (PMI) estimating and the peculiarities of the forensic medical examination in postmortem glaciation of the corpse. On the territory of most regions of the Russian Federation, the autumn-winter period passes with a significant decrease in ambient temperature, which makes this topic relevant. The article describes in detail the mechanisms of freezing of human cells and tissues, methods for diagnosing PMI, the peculiarities of the examination in postmortem glaciation, and also put forward directions for further research.

Bioactive manganese (Mn)-doped ceramic coatings for intraosseous titanium (Ti) implants are developed. Arc plasma deposition procedure is used for coatings preparation. X-ray Diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy-Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy, and Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) methods are applied for coatings characterization.

Restoration ofpatency ofthe upper urinary tract in the extended lesions is a complex urological problems whose solution can significantly improve the quality of life of patients, and allows to avoid patient's disability. In the urological department of regional clinical hospital, for the first time we performed the plastic reconstruction of the left ureter for its extended (7 cm) stricture using segment of ileum, with good results in the early postoperative period. Restoration of the natural passage ofurine allows to hope for a good functional outcome in the long-term period.

A plasma spraying process for the deposition of three-dimensional capillary-porous titanium coatings using a wire has been developed. In this process, two additional dc arcs are discharged between plasmatron and both the wire and the substrate, resulting in additional activation of the substrate and the particles, particularly by increasing their temperature. The shear strength of the titanium coating with 46% porosity is 120.
