The positive relationship between species richness and area is a fundamental principle in ecology. However, this pattern deviates on small islands, where species richness either changes independently of area or increases at a slower rate-a phenomenon known as the Small-Island Effect (SIE). While the SIE has been well documented in natural ecosystem, its presence in highly fragmented and disturbed urban ecosystem remains unexplored, posing challenges for urban vegetation conservation.

In this paper, the enhancement of thermochemical energy storage by alkali metal chloride salts-doped Ca-based sorbents is revealed by experiments and DFT calculations. The results indicate that NaCl and KCl doping increases the reaction rate and cycle stability. Compared to CaO, the conversion of NaCl-CaO and KCl-CaO after one cycle is increased by 59.

Background: Sequential CD19 and CD22 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy offers a promising approach to antigen-loss relapse in relapsed/refractory (R/R) B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL); however, research in adults remains limited.

Methods: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of sequential CD19 and CD22 CAR-T cell therapy in adult patients with R/R B-ALL between November 2020 and November 2023 (ChiCTR2100053871).
