A 51-year-old man presented with a 2-year history of painless lump in the left hemiscrotum. Scrotal examination demonstrated a 3-cm, firm-to-hard mass attached to the left spermatic cord. Scrotal ultrasound scan revealed a heterogeneous mass separate from the left testis and epididymis.

We report on the use of Perc NCircle atraumatic stone forceps to retrieve stones during laparoscopic ureterolithotomy. We think that it is a safe, simple device and that it has significant advantages over other methods.

A 70-year-old woman with an ileal conduit developed stones in both kidneys and the right ureter. A Double-J stent was placed to facilitate treatment of the stone on the right side. After nearly complete clearance on the right side, an attempt to retrieve the stent was unsuccessful because of a knot at the proximal end that was impacted at the ureteroilial anastomotic site.

Purpose Of Review: The term intractable urinary incontinence can be applied to urinary incontinence that cannot be managed using conventional treatments like drug therapy for detrusor overactivity or sling procedures for female stress incontinence. This review considers the role of the Mitrofanoff procedure in extending the range of options for the patient who might otherwise consider using an indwelling catheter or an ileal conduit diversion to overcome incontinence. Clinicians use the label 'Mitrofanoff procedure' quite loosely to describe any continent catheterizable abdominal stoma.

Spontaneous perforation of the urinary bladder is a rare clinical condition presenting as an acute abdomen. It should be suspected in patients with a past history of radiotherapy to the pelvis, enterocystoplasty and those suspected of having a tumour in the bladder. Disproportionately elevated serum urea and creatinine should raise the index of suspicion.
