Evaluation of Clinical Periodontal Parameters of Abutment Teeth Supporting Distal-Extension Base Removable Partial Dentures: A Cross-sectional Study.

To assess the clinical periodontal status of abutment teeth in regards of different design components of distal-extension removable partial dentures. Subjects (N=100) with acrylic or cobalt-chromium distal-extension removable partial dentures were enrolled and their periodontal parameters plaque and gingival indices [PI, GI], probing depths [PD], clinical attachment loss [CAL] and a mobility index [MI] evaluated. Denture base type, major connector, occlusal rests position, design of direct retainers, retention, stability and denture wearing habits were further evaluated.

The effect of orthodontic treatment on the periodontium and soft tissue esthetics in adult patients.

Objective: Most patients seek orthodontic treatment to achieve an esthetic outcome. Orthodontic treatment has possible negative sequelae. The aim of this study is to assess these possible effects on the periodontium and tissue esthetics.

Influence of Age on Calvarial Critical Size Defect Dimensions: A Radiographic and Histological Study.

Calvarial critical-size defect has been used to assess techniques and materials in the bone regeneration field. Previous studies utilized young adult rats with 3 months of age, which might not reflect the geriatric conditions. Factors influencing dental care access in Jordanian adults.

Background: The aims of this study are to assess the influences of demographic and personal factors on Jordanian adults' abilities to use dental services and the barriers to regular attendance.

Methods: A self-administered questionnaire was distributed to a sample of 650 Jordanian adults attending King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH) (n = 200), Jordan University of Science and Technology-Dental Health Teaching Center (JUST-DHTC) (n = 150), Yarmouk University Health Clinics (YUHC) (n = 150), and United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) clinics (n = 150). 614 questionnaires were completed.
