Extraskeletal Ewing's sarcoma arising in the head and neck region is an extremely rare malignant neoplasm. We describe the unusual case of a tumor originating in the larynx of a 68-year-old male with hoarseness and occasional aphonia. We report successful treatment with sequential chemo- and radiotherapy.

Fine needle aspiration (FNA) is routine diagnostic tool in breast tumors assessment. In some cases, however, limitations of this method do not permit an unequivocal diagnosis. In these, suspected, cases immunocytochemical evaluation of selected biological markers may be of help.

Introduction: Fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) of the thyroid nodules generally allows to make the diagnosis and to choose the proper clinical management. In about 10% of cases cytopathologic features do not differentiate unequivocally benign and malignant lesions. In these cases the cytopathologic diagnosis of follicular tumor (FT) or oxyphilic tumor (OT) is most often made.
