The experiments were performed for localizing the inflammation-inducing factors in the subcellular fractions of human and guinea pig PMNL. The magnitude of the induced inflammation tested on rats and guinea-pigs represented combined effects of all proteins extracted from PMNL. The isolation of PMNL subcellular components did not elevate the potency of the inflammatory response.
