Methods And Results: Questionnaires distributed to delegates of the national societies of cardiology represented in the European Society of Cardiology to be completed by local institutions and operators yielded that 1637148 angiograms and 525983 coronary angioplasty (PTCAs) were performed in 2000.

Methods: The study population consisted of 222 men aged 30 to 60 years who entered an inpatient rehabilitation program a mean of 7 weeks after a first myocardial infarction. Medical data were obtained from the patients and their physicians at entry to the rehabilitation center and 1 year later.

It has been shown that various antihypertensive drugs have a negative influence on sexual activity such as diuretics and beta-blockers. Thus, the purpose of the present study was to evaluate the effect of valsartan, an AT1-receptor antagonist, or its combination with hydrochlorothiazide on sexual activity in hypertensive patients.
