Background: Complex perianal fistulas, challenging to treat and prone to recurrence, often require surgical intervention that may cause fecal incontinence and lower quality of life due to large surgical wounds and potential sphincter damage. Human umbilical cord-derived MSCs (hUC-MSCs) and their exosomes (hUCMSCs-Exo) may promote wound healing.
Methods: This study assessed the efficacy, mechanisms, and safety of these exosomes in treating complex perianal fistulas in SD rats.
This study aimed to investigate the underlying mechanisms by which physical exercise mitigates muscle atrophy induced by Dexamethasone (Dex). A muscle atrophy model was established in the mouse C2C12 cell line and 8-week-old mice treated with Dex, with subsequent verification of phenotype and atrogene expression. The potential benefits of combined aerobic and resistance exercise in mitigating muscle atrophy were then examined.

Endometrial epithelial and stromal cells represent the first site of contact between the embryo and sows; therefore, dynamic changes in the growth and development of these cells are among the major factors affecting the intrauterine environment and implantation. Bone morphogenetic protein receptor type-1B (BMPR1B) is a receptor of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) family that has been identified as a candidate gene for reproductive traits in pigs.

In this study, a series of xanthohumol C derivatives were synthesized, and their anticancer activity was evaluated. The results revealed that A33 demonstrated the potent anticancer activity and effectively inhibited the proliferation of CRC cells in vitro.

Respiratory pathogens, highly infectious to children, with to different modes of infection, such as single-pathogen infections and co-infections. Understanding the seasonal patterns of these pathogens, alongside identifying single infections and co-infections and their impact on the pediatric immune status, is crucial for clinical diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis in children.
