A series of sensors, designated S3R1-S3R4, were designed and synthesized for the detection of PO ions and toxic metals, specifically Hg and Cu ions. The colorimetric detection of PO ions using these sensors exhibited a distinct visual color transition from yellow to purple in organo-aqueous media. The intrinsic cavity-like structure in the thiosemicarbazide-based derivative S3R4 significantly enhances the binding affinity for Hg and Cu ions in organic media.

Background: Biofield therapies can be administered in person (hands-on treatment) or remotely, and this study focuses on the latter. A literature review did not find any reports on the effectiveness of remote biofield energy /blessing therapy in enhancing cognition and motor function performance in adults.

Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the effect of distant/remote blessing (biofield energy) therapy on the cognitive and motor functions in adults with self-reported neuropsychological impairments using NIH Toolbox.

Objectives: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK, accounting for 15% of all new cases in women. Evidence still points to disparities in outcomes linked to ethnicity and screening uptake is overall lower in South Asians than the White population. We investigated the experiences and perceptions of Gujarati Hindu community members on their 'cancer journeys'.

In short-range microwave imaging, the collection of data in real environments for the purpose of developing techniques for target detection is very cumbersome. Simultaneously, to develop effective and efficient AI/ML-based techniques for target detection, a sufficiently large dataset is required. Therefore, to complement labor-intensive and tedious experimental data collected in a real cluttered environment, synthetic data generation via cost-efficient electromagnetic wave propagation simulations is explored in this article.
