Background: The frequency of EoE has been increasing in Northern Hemisphere cohorts, yet there is a scarcity of data in our region. Regional climatic factors, and lifestyle habits may influence the presentation of EoE, and appropriate management is crucial to prevent complications. WIth this is mind we undertook the first comprehensive multisite study of EoE in Australasian children.

Background: The limitations of the traditional TNM system have spurred interest in multivariable models for personalized prognostication in laryngeal and hypopharyngeal cancers (LSCC/HPSCC). However, the performance of these models depends on the quality of data and modelling methodology, affecting their potential for clinical adoption. This systematic review and meta-analysis (SR-MA) evaluated clinical predictive models (CPMs) for recurrence and survival in treated LSCC/HPSCC.

Holistic Thermo-Optical Design of Laminate Layers for Halide Perovskite Photovoltaic Windows.

Though power conversion is an important metric for photovoltaic windows, it must be balanced with visible transmittance, aesthetics (color and haze), and thermal performance. Optical properties are often reported, but thermal performance is typically neglected entirely in photovoltaic window design. Here, we introduce the strategy of using laminate layers to improve the thermo-optical performance of perovskite-based photovoltaic insulating glass units.

Relationships between neurodivergence status and adverse childhood experiences, and impacts on health, wellbeing, and criminal justice outcomes: findings from a regional household survey study in England.

Background: Evidence indicates that neurodivergent (ND) populations may be more at risk of experiencing adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), compared to neurotypical (NT) populations. However, this evidence has typically not examined a comprehensive set of ACEs and has only included ND individuals on the basis that they have a diagnosis. Very little research has examined the impacts of ACEs on negative adulthood outcomes for ND populations.
