This Technical Resource describes genome sequencing data for 61 isolates of the bacterial pathogen pv. collected from and crops between 2010 and 2021 in Serbia. We present the raw sequencing reads and annotated contig-level genome assemblies and determine the races of ten isolates.

To identify suitable oviposition sites, insects, such as the vinegar fly Drosophila melanogaster, assess a complex range of features. The fly selectively lays eggs in fermenting fruit.

Recombinant, functional avidin was produced in Pichia pastoris, with yields of up to 80 mg/l of culture supernatant. The recombinant avidin had similar insecticidal activity to egg white avidin when assayed against larvae of a lepidopteran crop pest, cabbage moth (Mamestra brassicae), causing >90% reduction in growth and 100% mortality when fed in optimised diets at levels of 1.
