A Rare Neck Lesion in Children: Bilateral Chondrocutaneous Branchial Remnant.

Cervical chondrocutaneous branchial remnant is a rare congenital developmental anomaly typically located on the lateral neck. Histologically, it has the appearance of an accessory tragus demonstrating a central cartilaginous core with surrounding fibrosis located in the subcutaneous tissue. In order to address the clinical and therapeutic aspects of cervical chondrocutaneous branchial remnants in children, a 6-year-old boy who presents with bilateral hard cervical masses at the lower region of the neck is presented.

The role of radiotherapy in multimodal treatment of non-rhabdomyosarcoma soft tissue sarcomas in children: A real life report from a tertiary center.

Objective: The current treatment of pediatric non-rhabdomyosarcoma soft tissue sarcomas (NRSTS) is a multimodal risk-based approach. Today, smaller fields and lower doses of radiotherapy (RT) have become standard. In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the treatment outcomes and toxicity profile in children with NRSTS that received RT as a part of multimodal therapy.

Introduction: The objectives of this study were to investigate the variation in the use of indeterminate categories of The Bethesda System for reporting thyroid cytopathology across age groups, particularly focusing on atypia of undetermined significance (AUS) category, and discern the potential role of a bias in pathologist's interpretation when dealing with pediatric patients.

Materials And Methods: To highlight a more refined diagnostic pattern, thyroid fine-needle aspirations reported by a single pathologist over a span of 10 years enrolled to the study. A total of 8,827 cases from patients aged between 2 and 89 were categorized for each decades of ages.

Variations in Epithelial Lining of Duplication Cysts Cannot be Explained by Known Theories.

Duplication cysts are found in any part of the gastrointestinal tract from the oropharynx to anus. Although duplication cysts usually have similar epithelium with the adjacent organ, respiratory epithelium in the enteric duplication cysts is rarely reported. This study was performed to evaluate the variations in the epithelial lining of duplication cysts and its clinical implications.
