Severe coronary artery ectesia in a paediatric patient with Noonan syndrome presenting for transcatheter pulmonary valve placement.

Coronary ectasia is a very rare phenomenon seen in Noonan syndrome with only a few documented case reports. We describe a 14-year-old with Noonan syndrome and tetralogy of Fallot with described coronary artery ectasia since infancy who presented for possible transcatheter pulmonary valve placement and was found to have severe ectasia of bilateral coronary arteries.

The effects of cannabinoid agonism on auditory discrimination.

Recent evidence suggests that cannabis can impair simple auditory processes, and these alterations might be due to cannabinoid agonism. The effect of cannabinoid agonism on relatively complex processes such as auditory discrimination is unknown. The goal of this study was to examine the impact of WIN 55,212-2, a CB1 receptor and CB2 receptor agonism, on auditory discrimination using a go/no-go task.

Biatrial Thrombi on a Gore Septal Occluder Despite Early Epithelialization.

ASD and PFO device-related thrombus is an uncommon phenomenon that can be seen both early- and late-post-closure. Typical risk factors include atrial fibrillation, hypercoagulable diseases/states, and lack of device endothelialization. We present an interesting case of a 15-year-old female who underwent PFO device closure after a renal infarction and was found to have biatrial device thrombus 3-month post-closure.

Usefulness of PREDICT Case Type Risk Category in the CRISP Registry.

Procedural risk in Congenital Cardiac Catheterization (PREDICT) was recently reported as the contemporary procedure-type risk metric by the Congenital Cardiac Catheterization Project on Outcomes (C3PO) registry. The usefulness of this metric has not been evaluated elsewhere. The CRISP registry of Congenital Cardiovascular Interventional Study Consortium (CCISC) data set was analyzed.
