Introduction: Extraintestinal manifestations of nontyphoidal salmonellosis are usually seen in patients with cellular immunodeficiency. Pleural empyema caused by nontyphoidal Salmonella is very rare clinical presentation of salmonellosis and there are just a few cases described in a literature.
