Introduction: Simulation-based education (SBE) is increasingly used to improve clinician competency and patient care and has been identified as a priority by the World Health Organization for low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). The primary aim of this review was to investigate the global distribution and effectiveness of SBE for health workers in LMICs. The secondary aim was to determine the learning focus, simulation modalities, and additional evaluation conducted in included studies.

Podcasts as a mobile learning platform to augment surgical expertise and dialogue have been embraced by many surgical educators and learners. Podcasts are digital audio files that can be streamed or downloaded from the internet to individual devices. Surgical podcast literature was appraised with a search using the keywords 'surgery' AND 'podcast' in the PubMed database which found 639 results with titles and abstracts screened to identify and review 28 relevant articles.

Background: Neonatal resuscitation video review (NRVR) involves recording and reviewing resuscitations for education and quality assurance. Though NRVR has been shown to improve teamwork and skill retention, it is not widely used. We evaluated clinicians' experiences of NRVR to understand how NRVR impacts learning and can be improved.
